The Yampa town run is my favorite so far because you can ride it when it's super rowdy or when it's more mellow and it will always be a fun ride!
Tell us about your favorite paddling experience or biggest paddling achievement.
Last year I took out a Spud solo on the Yampa River and had so much fun with it. Everyone I went with was super encouraging and helped me get through the waves the best I could. Even though I swam (twice) I couldn't stop smiling the entire run.
You're leaving for the Grand Canyon tomorrow. What is the one luxury item you packed for the trip?
A blender!! Love a good smoothie.
What do you do when you are not on the river?
Skiing, climbing, reading or fly fishing!

I'm fairly new to the river community as I started working for CKS only a year ago. I wanted to work here because it's a great company in Steamboat and I wanted to learn more about water activities, especially since we have the Yampa River right in our backyard! It's so fun to be apart of such a welcoming and fun group of people.
I've been so lucky to have had the chances to get on the river and learn from the people I work with who have been on rivers for years. It's never too late to start getting after it and I can't wait to see what my next river adventure will be!
