Werner powerhouse blade longevity

I used it twice and immediately it began to crack, fray, and split on the left blade. You can see the fibers peeling up from where they used to be laminated down. I contacted Werner after less than two weeks of my purchase, and sent them very clear pictures of the issues. Their representative went on to argue with me that this was normal wear after just two uses. After sending more pictures he then tells me it is possible its having delaminating issues but I'd have to pay $30 to ship it in and if warranty won't cover it that it'd be $140 to fix. They said that their engineer reviewed the pictures but would need the actual paddle to inspect it because the pictures weren't enough to determine the issue. So after two uses and two weeks Werner will do nothing but argue so they don't have to warranty this weak blade and want me to pay over half of a new paddle's cost. I'd save your money and try Adventure Technology or Gala sport composites. I'm very unhappy with Werner's quality, customer service, warranty & return policy, and wish I never bought from them. I now have a paddle I don't trust on the river, I'm out $300, and need a new one which I assure will never be a Werner again.
