The Shred Ready Creek Pogies offer great cold weather protection without sacrificing the bare-handed grip for optimum paddle control. A wide and shortened cuff allows for easy on and off.
Best pogies I could find
I don't really like using pogies but was told that I should definitely have some to do the Upper A. Previous experience with pogies was that they were floppy and just felt in the way. I bought these after seeing that they were pretty low profile and not super expensive. They work great, they were rigid enough to be easy to get in and out of and not too cumbersome when not using them. I can't really compare to others warmth-wise but they kept my hands super warm on the run. Overall, these are a great design, high quality, and I would highly recommend.
Slightly longer cuff and it's a 5
These insulate really well and they are very easy to get in and out of, but I find that it exposes my wrists at times. 1-2 extra inches of length on the cuff would solve that I think without making them that much more challenging to get in and out of. I have really cold hands so these have been helping me get out nearly every day on cold early spring water in Maine. I do sometimes get cold hands still particularly when I'm working on something new and am needing to roll repeatedly. But the good thing is that if I stay upright and do some hard paddling, I find that my hands will actually warm up, when usually once they get cold, they stay cold.
Shred Ready Creek Pogies
After searching for the past couple of years I finally found what I wanted. Easy to get into and out of BARR MITTS. They do a great job of keeping the cold and sometimes freezing air away for my hands. I am using them on the control bar of a North Wing ATF powered hang glider and the fit couldn't be better. They also fit the control bar on three other hang gliders that l fly. Great product. One happy customer.
Best Ponies ever
