Huge improvement on the WRSI Helmets!!
I have been wearing sweet since 2001, loved the fit right out of the box. I always avoided the WRSI helmets due to the outfitting not being very comfortable for my head out of the box. I got the new Trident in green last spring and have been really enjoying the updated head liner insert. You can pop it out to dry it, wring it out, heck wash it too! The helmet fits perfect and I feel safer wearing a lid I know has a bunch of good research into keeping the craniums happy.
I've used a WRSI Trident for years now, and I love the updated model. The liner is very comfortable and fits my head extremely well. After use, it does keep water absorbed, but I don't really mind it... going to get wet anyway. I have taken some good shots to the head, and the technology and construction is super solid. Definitely recommend for a low profile play helmet, or class V creeking.
Hey Alec, glad you are loving the helmet! Super sweet review!
Bought this helmet 2 months ago. Loved it right away, because of its comfort. I have been boating 2-3 times a week. Already have little chips of paint coming off of it. Agree with the previous review about it being difficult to adjust. It is very comfortable once adjusted dry, but being in the water for hours, the inside of the helmet gets wet and heavy and the fit is not the same when dry. There is no way to re-adjust while on the river, because of the time it would take. This helmet is too expensive to have issues like that. Suggestion: go with Sweet Protection.
Extremely hard to adjust, no fit kit padding included
Love the color of the helmet and the look but I could not get it to fit snug on my head. The "anti-rock" feature is extremely difficult to adjust. The helmet comes with no fit kit or extra padding. Even when tightened down as much as possible, still rocked back on my head. Very disappointing for a company who supposedly has helmets made to prevent this. If it does not fit "snug" in the shop, skip this helmet.
