The Astral YTV PFD is a stylish, functional, and minimalist PFD design that is ideal for playboating and riversurfing. The unisex, low profile design is ideal for activities where larger PFD designs tend to get in the way of paddling movements. The buoyancy is focused around the waist and has a surprising level of float for its small size, so you're not sacrificing safety for better performance.
Astral YTV PFD Features:
- Pullover entry
- Quick access, reinforced knife tab
- Two zippered pockets
- 1.76 lbs
- 200 x 400 denier ripstop nylon outer shell
- 200 denier lightweight nylon liner
S/M = 31"-37”
M/L = 38"-44”
L/XL = 45"-51”
Pro Tip: While the Astral YTV is a great playboating and surfing PFD, its low-profile design is ideal for those who find themselves having to climb back onto rafts and paddleboards frequently, such as whitewater SUP paddlers and commercial raft guides. The smooth front panel keeps this PFD from catching the side of the boat while your climbing back in from the river.

- chest area
The Astral YTV PFD is the most comfortable PFD I've ever owned. My being a bit "*****" has caused other PFDs to stick out so far in front and ride up under my chin that getting back in my IK and/or onto my paddleboard was a real struggle. The YTV does not add bulk in the upper chest area and solved this problem. It's so comfortable that when I stop for lunch on the river, I don't even think of taking it off. Love, Love, Love it!! Customer Service at CKS was SO very helpful too.

Less is More — and also less.
Only had this for a few weeks, but so far it's bomber. Simple and no frills (don't get me wrong frills can really make an outfit) and really comfortable. I'm not and uber boater so for me it's got all need in terms of float and pockets.
