Hit your line as you stomp whitewater on a stable board that is playful by nature. The Atcha, the original board that defined whitewater inflatable SUPs, is perfect to play your way down a whitewater descent. It's a great fit for all whitewater paddlers and those looking for more stability than the Atcha 86. Catch steeper waves and navigate the river in a whole new way. It's the best downriver plus surf on the fly board ever made, brought to you by the company that is leading the charge in whitewater SUP and inflatable technology. After obsessive prototyping and re-prototyping (since 2012), the 2019 Atcha satisfies Hala's desire to make the best even better.

Hala Atcha from Richmond Va
Received the Sup last week and had a few days of heavy rain followed by unseasonably warm (60s in January) weather so I took it out two days in a row. It was a blast! It was very stable through twos and threes, and on the few fours I hit it surged out of some pretty deep troughs like a champ. I ran it both with and without the gummy side bites and like it better without in everything but flatwater. The gummies caught rocks several times and made me face plant once! That never happened when running with.just the retractable fin. It doesn’t track very well that way on flatwater, but I didn’t buy this for lakes! Very happy so far.
Best down river board. Period.
Hala’s flagship whitewater board puts all other down river models to shame! It has the perfect balance of stability and agility, is made from the best possible materials and has an awesome warranty. The durability is unparalleled in the industry, I’ve put this board through the wringer and it has come out unscathed. The “Core” construction used for this model let’s you slide over rocks and paddle the shallowest sections without worry. I’ve paddled hundreds of river miles on mine wouldn’t choose anything else!
Atcha 9.6 is so fun
I'm a long time Sup user. I admit I have been using the Atcha 9.6 for a couple years now. I started with IKs then some flat profile boards till Hala made river boards with rocker in the hull and great outfitting on top. It was a world of change from what we paddled on 20 years ago. The Atcha 9.6 is very stable with exceptional performance. We all have them on the Wenatchee River in Washington. We have had other Sups but they do not hold up as well as the Hala Boards. I recommend this Atcha 9.6 board as the best Sup I have used.
Have fun falling in love with whitewater SUP
If you've been looking to turn the corner with your whitewater SUP, it may be that this board is all you've been missing. The Hala Atcha is the standard by which all other whitewater boards need to be measured. It's nimble, responsive, stable, and powerful. The retractable fin lets you charge with confidence. The rugged construction is essential for rocky whitewater conditions. The click-fins on the side allow you to experiment until you find the perfect configuration for your carving enjoyment. Catch waves and catch eddies, this board will do what you want. Love the D-rings for rigging my gear, and the handles for loading the board on tall vehicles and trucks. Comes with great accessories that show Hala goes above and beyond, like a high-quality pump, repair kit, and a burly wheeled backpack for travel and storage. The bag is big enough to fit a broken-down Hala paddle in it, so you can travel the world with your new best friend.
Outstanding river board!
This board is a great compromise between surfability and downriver. Good stabilty and control while surfing with all 4 4.5" fins that come with it. This thing is STABLE laterally going downriver in class 3. Front to back stability is a little less than a flatter or longer board but the rocker is what makes this a surf king! The 1.5" fins from Hala are a necessary next purchase for me that will really make this board perform well into the fall at lower water levels.
