The NRS STAR Viper XL Inflatable Kayak is arguably the most aggressive whitewater ducky out there. This whitewater inflatable kayak comes rigged with integrated float bags, keeping you from getting bogged down by crashing waves, and thigh straps, keeping you locked in and ready to crush whatever comes your way.
New for 2020, the longer Viper XL is a whitewater predator that thrives in class III and IV, and is bound to put a smile on your face on every run!
- Bow and stern displacement chambers add flotation while serving as a comfortable backrest and a bulkhead for bracing your feet.
- High-pressure drop-stitch insert on the self-bailing floor provides the rigidity for wave and hole punching performance.
- Included thigh straps lock you in for committed whitewater performance.
- Rugged PVC material fights abrasion and slides easily over rocks.
- Multiple D-rings on the bow and stern decks for rigging gear.
- Bow and stern handles make the Viper easy to carry while also providing extra tie-down points for gear.
- Includes carry bag, pump and repair kit.
- 3-year retail warranty, 2-year commercial.
Pro Tip: The STAR Viper XL is the larger version of the Star Viper from NRS. Smaller paddlers may find this boat to be harder to control than the Viper. If you are under 150 pounds, you will likely be more comfortable with the smaller version.

Star Viper XL
Wonderful. Kayak arrived timely, all items included, inflated it in my backyard, got it fitted to me, then several days later, tried it on a lake, then a week later on to a Class II & III River. Comfortable, agile and resilient craft. I’ve tried many different kayaks on this particular river, and this is the sweetest ride. Planning on many more. (I much prefer the inflated footrest over a foot peg - a bigger surface to push against. Also recommend purchase of a quality air gauge to achieve proper inflation.)
Great boat for all levels.
This boat is super fast and fun. It has no problem catching every eddy on the river. The viper is a perfect boat for anyone who just want kayak and to "DO IT KNOW" without the long progression of a hard boat. Also a good boat for experienced rafters that might want to do a little kayaking. 10 out of ten.
Great boat for all tall paddlers
This is a great boat for all skill levels. It is a perfect boat for that rafter that wants to do some (Do It Know!!) Boating with comfortably of a shelf bailing open boat. 20 out of 10 would recommend.
Do it now
To it down the elk river class three at 3000. Worked great would recommend to any larger paddler. Go boat for rafters that want to do some kayaking. 10 out of 20 would recommend.
