Pyranha_Burn_III_paddle That's Jimmy, stoked on his new boat.
Jimmy called CKS a few weeks back, and was curious about the differences between the Dagger Mamba and the new Pyranha Burn III. He ended up purchasing a Medium Size Pyranha Burn III. Here is a brief review that Jimmy sent us after paddling the boat a few times. Hey, So after a 4 day paddling extravaganza I can honestly say there is nothing I don't like about the New Burn. It's super fast and catches more eddy's per rapid. It's surfs and spins like an oversize playboat. It tracks like it's on a rail but it is also nimble and catches eddy's like a much smaller boat. Very predictable when punching waves and holes and accelerates out of the foam pile. I find myself taking about half of the paddle strokes I usually do to get around the river. Even though it has a great edge it is very user friendly and not at all grabby. I'm super stoked on my decision to buy this boat over the others I tried. But no matter what boat I'm in I will always portage Big Falls on the canyon section of the South Fork of the Payette. (See photo.) The Immersion Research Devils Club Dry Suit is one of the most durable drysuits on the market, and in my humble opinion, one of the best pieces of gear money can buy.
