Colorado Kayak Supply (CKS Online) was purchased in the summer of 2024 by Jon Kahn, who has owned and operated the leading independent Denver-based outdoor retail store Confluence Kayak & Ski since 1995. All CKS Online purchases are available for local pickup at this retail location, conveniently located off I-25 with ample free parking. The original Colorado Kayak Supply was founded in Nathrop, CO in 1978 by the legendary Jim Stohlquist, and the eCommerce brand has transitioned through three different owners and Colorado locations since then. Throughout these transitions, CKS has remained a destination for paddlers, by paddlers.

Since Jon Kahn took the helm, we've expanded our offerings to include top-tier winter gear, including skis, backcountry equipment, and outdoor clothing from the same trusted brands known for quality and performance. We're proud to now offer year-round gear for outdoor lovers—paddling gear for when the rivers run, and snow gear for when they freeze.
