What was I waiting for?
I’ve been paddling for 20 years, surviving southeastern winters with dry tops and splash pants. Talking my wife into such a purchase was no easy feat, but fortunately several of her coworkers got into her ear. They told her there are two types of people that buy dry suits...those who buy Kokatat, and those who wish they had. My Gortex Meridian has been a game changer for winter paddling. I’ve had to learn to wear less layers and can literally wear home the layers I paddle in because they are dry. I’m 6’00” 185 11.5 shoes and the large fits great with a little room to grow, which is great if you’re working on your dad *** like me.
Really excellent piece of gear, works perfect, fits great and opens up more season for my kayaking. Very expensive, but well worth it.
Well Worth Price
Words cannot describe how amazing this suit is. I am a Whitewater Kayaker and the water gets really cold, 50 and below. This has kept me from getting out and enjoying the rapids in the upper mountain areas here in NC. I was skeptical at first on dropping the money on this suit. After getting this suit and jumping in 50 degree water, I am not upset not have I second guessed my decision. This is everything it is rant and raved about. The suit is simply the best on the market. I have had to swim a couple times now while practicing my combat roll and the suit has kept me **** dry every single time. I would recommend this to any and everyone.
Hey Steven , thanks for the excellent review! Having a dry suit is a game changer, glad you are enjoying the GMER!
